−(c − 2) + 5(c + 1) I know that the - sign at the beginning is -1 and the like terms are -1,-2,5,and 1 but that's where I get stumped what do I do first?

do all multiplication and division from left to right in the order they appear, then addition and subtraction from left to right in order they appear
