Question 773888: What are the domain and range of each relation? Is the relation a function?
C= {(1/2, 5), (-3, 7), (3/2, 5), (1/2, -1)}

Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Domain = set of x values = {1/2, -3, 3/2}

Range = set of y values = {5, 7, -1}

This is NOT a function since you have x = 1/2 mapping to y = 5 and y = -1 at the same time. Basically the input of 1/2 produces two outputs at once.
