3x^2+5x-8=0
factor:
(3x+8)(x-1)=0
x=-8/3, 1
check:
f(-8/3)=3(-8/3)^2 +5*(-8/3)=64/3-40/3=24/3=8
f(1)=3x^2 +5x=3+5=8
check: ok
