Question 748629: The volume of a sphere can be given by the formula V=4.18879r^3. You have to design a spherical container that will hold volume of 80 cubic inches. What should the radius of your container be ?

The volume of a sphere is:
4/3 pi r^3.(Same as your formula,
but 4/3 and pi have been multiplied
together)
4/3 pi r^3 = 80
pi r^3 = (3x80)/4
pi r^3 = 60
r^3 = 60/pi
r = cube root of 19.1
r = 2.673 cm.
