Now since we are multiplying, we can combine the two fractions into one large one by combining the numerators and the denominators

Cancel the (y-2) in the numerator and denominator

Factor out a -1 in the FIRST term of the numerator

Since addition is commutative, -4+y is now y-4.

Cancel the y-4 in the numerator and denominator.

This is as simple as you can get. If your instructor wants ... you may need to multiply and come out with a Trinomial in the numerator and denominator.
