Question 699479: I need help finding the domain of the rational expression 5x-7/4 I know you're supposed to make the denominator equal zero then solve, but, there's usually an x to solve for in the denominator, and in this case there isn't. There is only one in the numerator. 0 does not = 4, so is it undefined? Please help. Thanks!

Since you are NOT dividing by x or some expression that involves x in any way, there are no possible ways to divide by zero.

So you can plug in any number you want for x.

Therefore, the domain is the set of all real numbers.
