-5x^5-50x^4-200x^3-400x^2-400x-160
=（-5x^5-50x^4）+(-200x^3-400x^2)+(-400x-160)
=-5x^4(x+10)-200x^2(x+2)-80(5x+2)
=(-5x^4-200x^2-80)(x+10)(x+2)(5x+2)
=-5(x^4+40x^2+16)(x+10)(x+2)(5x+2)
simplify:(x^4+40x^2+16)
x^4+40x^2=-16 ----completing the square:(40/2)^2=400
x^4+40x^2+400=-16
(x^2+20)^2=-16+400
(x^2+20)^2=384
(x^2+20)-384
=-5(x^2+20)-384(x+10)(x+2)(5x+2)
=-5-384(x^2-20)(x+10)(x+2)(5x+2)
=-389(x^2-20)(x+10)(x+2)(5x+2)
