FOIL is a method of multiplying binomials.
(5+x)(3-2x)
F-First terms multiplied
= 5*3 = 15
O-Outer terms multiplied
= 5*(-2x)
= - 10x
I-Inner terms multiplied
= x*3
= 3x
L-Last terms multiplied
= x*(-2x)
= -2x^2
Thus (5 + x)(3 - 2x)
= 15 - 10x + 3x - 2x^2
= 15 - 7x - 2x^2
Good luck!!!
