Find all real and imaginary roots of this equation: x^2-2x+6=0
use complete-the-square method:
x^2-2x+6=0
(x^2-2x+1)=-6+1
(x-1)^2=-5
take sqrt of both sides
x-1=±√-5
x=1±√5i
x=1+√5i
or
x=1-√5i
real roots: none
