Question 631484: I have been given the function f(x)=4x/(x+1). I was told to find the inverse function. So I got f^-1(x)=-x/(x-4). First, is this correct? Second, How do you find the DOMANIN and RANGE?

Hi,
f(x)=4x/(x+1)
I = -x/(x-4) Yes, good work.
if you are finding the Domain and Range of the Inverse function...
domain: Denominator cannot be zero. Domain is {x | x ≠ 4 }
Range: value of f(x) as x approaches
that would y = -1
