Question 62482: Divide by synthetic division. Be sure to state your answer as a polynomial.
3x(to the 4th)+11x(to the 3rd)-20x(squared)+7x+35 divided by (x+5)

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x(to the 4th)+11x(to the 3rd)-20x(squared)+7x+35 divided by (x+5)
3x^4+11x^3-20x^2+7x+35 divided by (x+5)
----------
Using synthetic division:
-5 ) 3 11 -20 7 35
3 -4 0 7 | 0
This shows the quotient is
3x^3-4x^2+7
