The numerator's degree is less than the denominator, therefore the is a horizontal asymptote with the equation y=0 (that's the x-axis).
This rational function is undefined when the denominator=0. There is a vertical asymptote at that point.
x-3=0
x=3
Pick points to plot on the left and right side of the vertical asymptote.
Let x=1
Plot (1,1)
Let x=2
Plot (2,2) Now you know what it's doing of the left side of the asymptote x=3.
Let x=4
Plot (4,-2)
Let x=5
Plot (5,-1) Now you know what the graph is doing on the right side.
This program draws in the vertical asymptote, remember that it should be dashed and is not actually part of the graph.
