Answer by lenny460(1073)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x + 2y = 8
Subtract 4x from each side of the equation.
4x + 2y - 4x = 8 - 4x
Combine like terms:
4x - 4x = 0
2y = 8 - 4x
Divide each side by 2
2y/2 = 8/2 - 4x/2
y = 4 - 2x
The coordinates of the above graph is:
(-2,8)
(-1,6)
(0,4)
(1,2)
(2,0)
(3,-2)
(4,-4)

The y-intercept is 4

The x-intercept is 2

The Slope = -4/2 = -2

From the above you can be able to plot the graph

how to find the intercepts and use the to graph the equation
4x+2y=8
-----------
At the x-intercept, y = 0 and vice versa.
----
4x+2y=8
2y = 8
y = 4 --> (0,4)
------------
4x+2y=8
4x = 8
x = 2 --> (2,0)
It's a straight line, so 2 points is sufficient.
