Question 621084: what is the difference between f and fx
Answer by vleith(2983) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! sometimes they mean the same thing.
Sometimes someone will use f as the function, and f(x) to mean a specific point on that function.
But most times, they mean the same thing.
So
f = x^2 + 4x + 9 is the same as
f(x) = x^2 + 4x + 9
