Question 607753: 1/x-3/4=x/4
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/x-3/4=x/4
4x(1/x)-4x(3/4)=4x(x/4)
4 - 3x = x^2
0 = x^2 + 3x - 4
x^2 + 3x - 4 = 0
(x+4)(x-1) = 0
x+4=0 or x-1=0
x = -4 or x = 1
So the solutions are x = -4 or x = 1
