What is a rational equation,and illustrate an example of how you would clear the rational equation of fractions?

answer: a fraction where the num. & denom. are polynomials
example:
4/x+7=2/3x
lcd. is your 3x
multiply 3x times 4/x
+(3x)7=(3x)2/3x
solve,12+21x=2
