Question 604836: I need help solving this problem.
3s/s^2-49+s/s-7
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3s/s^2-49+s/s-7
-----
[3s/[(s-7)(s+7)]] + s/(s-7)
----------------------
least common denominator: (s-7)(s+7)
----------------------
= (3s)/lcd + [s(s+7)]/lcd
----
Combine the numeraors over the lcd:
= [3s + s^2+7s]/lcd
-----
= [s^2+10s]/[(s-7)(s+7)]
