How far from the starting point does the jet overtake the prop-plane?
:
First find out how long it took the faster jet to overtake the slower
Let t = travel time of the jet
then
(t+2.8) = travel time of the prop
:
When this occurs they will have traveled the same distance
write a dist equation; dist = speed * time
570t = 150(t+2.8)
570t = 150t + 420
570t - 150t = 420
420t = 420
t = 1 hr to overtake the prop
