Answer by tutorcecilia(2152) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x-3)(x^2+3x-5) [Mutliply the factors]
(x-3)(x^2+3x-5)= x^3-14x+15
x^3-14x+15 +2 [Add the remainder of 2]
f(x)= x^3-14x+17 [The original polynomial]
.
f(3)=(3)^3-14(3)+17 [substitutie (3) for (x) and solve]
f(3)=27-42+17
f(3)=2
