Here's a problem I solved earlier.
Find and equation for the line with slope1/2 and the y-intercept 3.
The slope intercept form of a line is:highlight%28y=mx%2Bb%29, m=slope and b=y-intercept.
For your line: m=1/2 and b=3 just put your m and b where they belong.

If you are given an equation and asked to put it in slope intercept form, solve for y and have the x term come first on the other side.
