Find the vertical and horizontal asymptotes of and sketch a graph of F.
Your horizontal asymptotes are where the function is undefined once it's simplified. This happens when the denominator=0.

x-4=0 and x+1=0
x=4 and x=-1 are the equations of the vertical asymptotes.

If the degree of the numerator is less than the degree of the numerator (in your case the degree of the numerator is 0 and the degreee of the denominator is 2), there is a horizontal asymptote at y=0.

Once you know where your vertical asymptotes are you can pick points to plot on the left and right sides of the asymptotes. Plot x=-3 and -2, and x=0 and 1, and x=2 and 3, and x=4 and 6.

This should be what you come up with. Keep in mind that this program draws in the vertical asymptotes, they aren't realy part of the graph. Extend the graph vertically up and down, but don't draw the asymptotes as a solid line. It is acceptable practice to lighlty draw them in as dashed lines.
