sqrt(3x+17) - 5 = x
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
square both side of the equation
x^2+7x+8=0
Find the roots of the equation by quadratic formula
a= 1 b= 7 c= 8
b^2-4ac= 49 - -32
b^2-4ac= 17
= 4.12
x1=( -7 + 4.12 )/ 2
x1= -1.44
x2=( -7 -4.12 ) / 2
x2= -5.56
