Area = 96 M^2
Area of sidewalk = 96 M^2
Length of ground + sidewalk = 12
width of ground + sidewalk = 12+2x

(12+2x)(8+2x)-96=96
96+24x+16x+4X^2 -96=96
4X^2+40x-96=0
/4
x^2+10x-24=0
x^2+12x-2x-24=0
x(x+12)-2(x+12)=0
(x-2)(x+12)=0
