standard form of equation for a straight line: y=mx+b, m=slope, b=y-intercept

y-5=2/3(x+2)
y=(2/3)x+4/3+5
y=(2/3)x+4/3+15/3
y=(2/3)x+19/3
slope=2/3
..
For perpendicular line, slope=-3/2 (negative reciprocal)
equation:
y=(-3/2)x+b
solving for b, using coordinates of given point (-4,6) (From f(-4)=6)
6=-3/2*-4+b
6=6+b
b=0
Equation of perpendicular line: y=-3x/2
