3 x + 2 y = 1 .............1
y = 4 -2 x ---------2 y = 4 -2 x
Substitute y in (1)
3x+2( 4 -2 x ) = 1
3x+8-4x = 1
3x-4x = 1 -8
-x = -7
/ -1
x= 7
Plug the value of x in (1)
3x+2y = 1
3*7+y = 1
21 +2y = 1
2 y = -20
/ 2
y= -10
