Question 488646: Graph this inequality:
-1.3<=x<=6.4

Answer by Edwin McCravy(20066)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-1.3 ≦ x ≦ 6.4

Consider that as "x is any number between -1.3 and 6.4,
inclusive". so shade those values on the number line.

Since these endpoints are decimal values in tenths, draw an empty number
line marked off so you can easily estimate tenths in between whole numbers,
...then you mark the endpoints of the interval:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-2        -1         0         1         2         3         4         5         6

Then you mark -1.3 three-tenths of the way from -1 going toward -2.
You mark it with a ⚫ because the symbol is ≦ and not < . If it had been <
 you would have marked it with ⚪.

--------⚫----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-2        -1         0         1         2         3         4         5         6         7

Then you mark 6.4 four-tenths of the way from 6 going toward 7.
You mark it with a ⚫ because the symbol is ≦ and not < . If it had been <
you would have marked it with ⚪.

--------⚫----------------------------------------------------------------------------⚫------
-2        -1         0         1         2         3         4         5         6         7

Then you shade the line between the two endpoints and you have it:

--------⚫============================================================================⚫------
-2        -1         0         1         2         3         4         5         6         7
