Question 48378This question is from textbook
: I hope this is the right category for the problem I need help with. It states to find the value for the function and the question is:
Find f(2) when F(x) = *x2-5 over x+3
* x2 in this case represents x squared (Can't find the symbol used in the above example). From other homework, my solution is to place the equation as: x2-5 = x+3 (2) and solve from there, only multiplying the dominator by the function of x. I come up with
x2-2x-11=0 is the quadratic formula necessary to figure x. Please provide help!
This question is not from a textbook, but I did put in the barcode of textbook used.
