+4xy-2y+=+8x-12+
+4xy-2y-8x+=+-12+
+4xy-8x+=+2y-12+
+x%284y-8%29+=+2y-12+
+x+=+%282y-12%29%2F%284y-8%29+

So, this version says that when 4y-8=0 we have the value of y for the asymptote.

4y = 8
y = 8/4
y = 2
