Question 43703: I am having trouble with a new set of problems. The equation is:
x+1/2x+3 = 2/3
I was having help but I can't remeber it all right now. So far I went to
(2x+3)(x+1/2x+3 = 2/3 (2x+3)
x+1 = 2/3 (2x/1) + 2/3 (3)
4x/3 + 6/9- 1
What do I need to do to finish this equation?
Answer by jake_6233(74) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You have a good start to the problem however remember the idea is to remove denominators
x+1/2x+3 = 2/3 Remember if a/b=c/d the ac=bd We have
3(x+1)=2(2x+3)
3x+3=4x+6
-3 =x
When you plug -3 into the origianal equation you will get -2/-3 which is equivalent
