Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x^4 -4x^2-12) / (2x^4 +9x^2 +10)
-----------------
(x^4 +2x^2-6x^2 -12) / (2x^4 +4x^2+5x^2 +10)
------
(x^2(x^2+2)-6(x^2+2)) / (2x^2(x^2+2)+5(x^2+2))
------
= [(x^2+2)(x^2-6)] / [(x^2+2)(2x^2+5)]
------
= (x^2-6) / (2x^2+5)
