The surface area of a sphere varies directly with the square of its radius. If the surface area of a sphere with a radius of 12 inches is 576π square inches, find the surface area of a sphere with a radius of 3 inches.

12^2 =144, 3^2 = 9
if square of radius = 144 then area = 576π
it means, if square of radius = 1 then area = 576π/144

now, we have to find the area if square of radius is 9

( 576π/144)* 9 = 36π
