Yes, you should solve for "y":
|y| = 3-x
---
y = 3-x when x<= 3
or y = x-3 when x>=3
------
Graph both on the same set of axes but restrict each piece of the
graph to the x-interval for which it is defined.
Note: I cannot show you that restricted shape {V} on this site.
