Using the vertex form of a parabola, where(h,k) is the vertex
f(x)=3[(x-1)^2 -1]-2 |completing the square to put into vertex form
f(x)=3(x-1)^2 -5 Vertex is Pt(1,-5)
a = 3 >0 parabola opens upward Pt(1,-5) a minimum point
domain is all real numbers, range is all real numbers ≥ -5
