Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=(x-1)^4
y=(x-1)
what real values of x, if any, satisfy the inequality (x-1)^4<(x-1)
----------------
(x-1)^4<(x-1)
Divide by x-1
(x-1)^3 < 1
Take the cube root of both sides
x-1 < 1
x < 2
----------
The division by x-1 requires that x > 1
1 < x < 2
