Hi
slope of a line that passing through points (5, -8) and (3, -3)
Using the point-slope formula,
(5, -8) and
(3, -3) m = [-8-(-3)] / (5-3) = -5 /2
With m = -(5/2) the line is oblique, slanting to the left
Note: as y increases/decreases by 5, x value changes by 2 in the other direction
example shown of y = -(5/2)x -3
