Question 386959: find the domain of the function

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
find the domain of the function
Q(x)=(-x)(1-x)/(3x^2+2x-2)
----
Solve 3x^2+2x-2 = 0
x = [-2 +- sqrt(4-4*3*-2)]/6
---
x = [-2 +- sqrt(28)]/6
---
x = [-2 +- 2sqrt(7)]/6
---
x = (-1/3) + (1/3)sqrt(7) or x = (-1/3)-(1/3)sqrt(7)
----
Domain is All Real Numbers except those two values.
