Question 378807: The Lapinid family wants to drive from Manila to La Union, a distance is about 380 kilometers. Their van can go 9 kilometers per liter of gas. At Least how many liters of gas will they need for the trip? If a liter of gas costs $36.50, how much will they spend on gas? (Show your solution)
Answer by robertb(5830)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Amount of gas = (Distance)/(rate of gas consumption). Then amount of gas = (380 km)/(9 km/liter) = 42.22 liters.
Total cost = (42.22 liters)*($36.50 /liter) = $1541.03.
BTW, are you sure you're going to La Union from Manila? Or cross-country? :D
