Question 37258: Please help me solve this rational equation. I always have a problem on these ones when the denominators are like that.
(8/p+3) + (8/p-3) = -2

Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8/(p+3)+8/(p-3)=-2 or [8(p+3)+8(p-3)]/(p+3)(p-3)=-2 or
(8p+24+8p-24)/(p~2-9)=-2 or 16p/(p~2-9)=-2 or 16p=-2p~2+18 or 2p~2+16p-18=0 or
(2p-2)(p+9)=0 or p=1 & p=-9
proof 8/4+8/-2=-2 or 2-4=-2 or -2=-2 & 8/-6+8/-12=-2 or -4/3-2/3=-2 or -6/3=-2
