Multiply both sides by Q+q.
Distribute.
Subtract PQ from both sides.
Divide both sides by P.
So the solution is

P=p/(Q+q) cross multiply.
P(Q+q)=p
PQ+qP=p
qP=p+PQ
q=(p+PQ)/P ans.
