Calculating the value of this function for the given values of the independent variable.
Pleas help me solve this:
f(x)=2x, calculate f(-1) and f(2).
I have tried multiplying f(-1)=2(2) which I think it results in -4 as the answer but I am not sure on this and I would apperciate your help on this problem and I would like if you could show the work you did so I can apply it for additional problems.

f(-1) = 2*(-1) = -2
f(2) = 4
