24-10a+a^2
how do I solve this algebra 2 question?

Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

24-10a+a^2
product of 1st term and third term = 24a^2
split the second term such that when added you get -10a & when multiplied you get 24a^2
they are 6 & 4
24-6a-4a +a^2
6(4-a)-a(4-a)
(6-a)(4-a)
