Could anybody please tell me the formula(s) I should use to try and solve this? I missed class that week and can't find an explanation in the book. I have a test tomorrow that will cover this type of problem, but I don't know the steps. Any help is appreciated!!!

Start with the first function.


On the left side, replace 'x' with 'g(x)'. On the right side, replace each 'x' with . Note: we replaced 'x' with 'g(x)' which in this case is


FOIL


Distribute.


Combine like terms.
