Question 29201: graph the inequality:
5x + 2y < 10
Thank you,
lyra

Answer by longjonsilver(2297)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5x + 2y < 10
2y < -5x + 10
y < -(5/2)x + 10/2
y < -(5/2)x + 5

OK, so plot the line y = -(5/2)x + 5. This line is where y EQUALS the right hand side. Then where is the region on the graph where y is LESS than the righthand side?

If you cannot "see" the answer, look at my Lesson of Graphing Inequalities... that will help you
