Question 27433: f(x)=5x, g(x)=3x+5, h(x)=(x)2+2 this is x squared plus 2
Question h(g(-4))

Answer by longjonsilver(2297)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
g(x)=3x+5, h(x)=

hg(-4) says put -4 into g(x). Then whatever answer you get there, put that into h(x)... very simple :-)

so, g(-4) = 3(-4)+5
g(-4) = -12+5
g(-4) = -7

so now, what is h(-7)?

h(-7) =
h(-7) = 49+2
h(-7) = 51
