Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(9x+5)/(2x-2)-(4x+3)/(x-1)?
------------------------------------
least common denominator: 2(x-1)
----
Rewrite each fraction with the lcd as its denominator:
-----
(9x+5)/lcd - (2(4x+3))/lcd
---------------------
Combine the numerators over the lcd:
[9x + 5 - 8x - 6]/lcd
---
(x-1)/[2(x-1)]
---
Cancel:
---
Ans: 1/2
