can yo show me how to graph the equation using the slope and y intercept:
y = 7/4x + 3
You should use parentheses, (7/4)x so as not to confuse it with 7/(4x). Or use (7x/4) + 3.
----------
It's in slope-intercept form, y = mx + b where m = slope and b = y-intercept,
----------
Plot the y-intercept, (0,3)
The slope is +7/4. Count up 7 and to the right 4 units, to point (4,10).
Or, count down 7, and to the left 4, to point (-4,-4).
Draw a line thru the 2 points.

the slope is 7/4 which means for every 7 that y changes x changes 4
3 is the y intercept which is y when x=0
plot (0,3)
Then go up 7 for y and over 4 for x and that is your next point to plot on the graph.
You only need two points for a line(linear equation).
