Question 242282: What are the domain and range of the function y= 5 √x-2 ??
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What are the domain and range of the function y= 5 sqrt(x-2) ??
------------------
Domain:
If x-2 is negative y would be the square root of a negative
number; then y would not be a Real Number.
So x-2 must be >= 0
Solving for x: x must be >= 2
------------------------------
Domain: All Real Numbers >= 2
-------------------------------------
Range:
The square root is always >= 0
So the range is All Real Numbers >= 0.
