Notice that the two denominators on the right hand side are the factors of the denominator on the left. That means that the denominator on the left is the Lowest Common Denominator. Apply the LCD, add the fractions, and collect like terms. Then you can multiply through by the denominator, leaving you with the two numerators equal to each other. Solve the resulting quadratic. Check both solutions to make sure that each is in the domain of the original function. Exclude any root not in the domain. You may find that none of the solutions is in domain of the original function. In this case the solution set to the original equation is the empty set.
