Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
simplify the complex rational expression.
10/(x-2) - 4x/(x^2-4)
_________________--
4/(x-2) + 2/(x+2)

================================
Numerator and Denominator both have a common denominator of x^2-4,
So that concells, leaving you with the following:
================================
[ 10(x+2) - 4x] / [4(x+2) + 2(x-2)]
---
[6x+20] / [6x+4]
---
= (3x+10)/(3x+2)
