Question 22557: Im having trouble setting up my radical problem.
little 3 outside the square root symbol, under the symbol is b + 12 and on the right side of the symbol but not under it, is = 5
I think i am supposed to put the b+12 in parenthesis, and the 5 also, and sqaure them? but im not sure! help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Not sure what you mean but I'll give it a try.
(b+12)^(1/3) = 5
Cube both sides of the equation to get:
b+12 = 125
b = 113
